LOST CREEK, W.Va. (WV News) — Hundreds of local residents celebrated Armed Forces Day by taking part in a veterans recognition event Saturday in Lost Creek.
The event was sponsored by West Virginia Operation Firm Handshake.
“We had a little bit of everything for everybody,” said Marty Broderick, the organization’s president, noting a car show, musical entertainment, organizational booths (such as the Mountaineer Military Museum in Weston and the Honor Flight network), raffles and food. “And most everything was free.”
